This elephant sculpture developed out of my street art. I was finding that concrete elephants were just too heavy to carry up tall ladders and fix on top of walls in public spaces, Guerilla style of course (asking for permission is to court a refusal in my experience), so I started looking at alternatives. One which came to mind was hempcrete, a most noble construction material from an environmental perspective, and much lighter than concrete, so I began experimenting. Not only that but I also encountered a scientific treatise on the reality of magic and the power of intention to alter physical reality, something that has been amply demonstrated through rigorous scientific experimentation. This has been put into practice in this elephant sculpture. It has embedded in its forehead and deep inside, quartz crystals over which I meditated for many months to charge with them with the instruction to take the energy from their environment and transform it to transmit a frequency of focused pure love to their surroundings. A transducer is a device which changes the energy from one form to another, and this elephant sculpture does exactly that. The style of the elephant goes way back to the mid 90s when I carved the first elephant form a chunk of white aerated concrete that I had found. Over the years I refined the form and expanded the materials used to include rammed earth, wood, concrete, cork and finally hempcrete. My practice also extended into street art: the unsanctioned use of walls and pillars upon which I fixed elephants and ceramic plaques, to date 180+ elephants in London, Paris, Berlin and many other places.

My work seems to be all about elephants and love, or love and empathy told through the medium of elephants and street art. There are many elephant sculptures on the streets of London, Berlin, Paris, California and many other places, each fixed down Guerilla style for the express purpose of increasing the love in the world. Recently I have incorporated elements of magic into my sculptures so that they radiate love more directly to people in the vicinity of the sculptures. Thought and intention are the coding language and energy that drive changes in our reality, we can with do this unconsciously or consciously. I choose the latter and embody this principle in my work. There are also two static 'Love Machine' installations in the California desert near Joshua Tree, and this is the direction I see myself going in the future.
